Uprising – 7.20.21

21 PAX came out this beautiful morning ready to hit the track and support one another.

Today was the last Uprising work out before we aim to beat our baseline 5K next Tuesday
Started with some stretches
  • Will Mays Hays to the left and right, each turning into runner stretches with arm raised to the sky
  • Good mornings
  • Crowd Pleasers
  • Hamstring Stretch
  • Mosey over to track
Two sets of cones separated the track in half.  PAX ran two warm up laps and then transitioned into eight sets of bursts around half the track and then eight sets of recovery.  This was followed by two laps of cool downs.  Everyone that finished early was encouraged to continue cooling down, running with others to finish or stretching out.

One year ago, on the evening of July 20th, @Lone Star reached out to me to see if I wanted to go running with “the guys”.  That following morning would be my first Uprising and the birth of Timeshare.  Today was a special day being my one year anniversary.  I also found it pretty cool that @2Buck reached out to me a couple weeks ago asking if I’d like to Q today.  Perfect timing.
I shared my journey with the team from my physical transformation, mental and leaderships capabilities.  I can do more, I’m more confident, I feel I’ve become a better well rounded man, friend, husband and father.  I didn’t share these things to brag on my self accomplishments.  I’ve certainly come up short and failed on more occasions than I can probably remember.  But each  day I get better.  I hope that my words inspired those who may be a little newer to the PAX, that this is a great thing we have.  I also hope it continues to inspire those who have been around longer and have continued to lift guys like me up every time we’re together.  I’m forever grateful for the text I got from Lone Star and the additional friendships I have today.  It’s been a great trip around the sun with you fellas.
