Uprising – 4.20.21

@Joey Freshwater big 49 today at #uprising
@Joey Freshwater,@Three’s Company, @Kwame, @Yo-Yo (FNG to start the morn), @Pancreas, @Timeshare, @Dead Leg, @2Buck, @Glamour Shots, @Tijuana, @Tiny Dancer, @Singlet, @Chowdah, and @Cross-Stitch (Q) came out to make a total of 14 PAX. It was my first day back in three weeks, so I couldn't have anyone trying to beat record times. I changed it up a little bit to slow everyone down.

THANG
Began the run towards Bertha knowing that every 5 minutes you'll stop and do an exercise:
25 merkins
50 squats (do we have an F3 name for this?)
100 side straddle hops
ABC's (sweet Mary workout)
Rinse and repeat those 4 on the way back.

Announcements:
Still looking for folks to sign up for the #bourbonchase2021
There is a volunteer opportunity on Saturday… I'm blanking on the details with the late back last, but @Chowdah knows the details.

Requests:
@Tijuana's family is traveling without him, and we are praying to keep them safe.
@2Buck had an interview this morning at 8:30

Moleskin:
Exodus 34:6-7 The LORD passed in front of him and proclaimed:
The LORD, the LORD is a compassionate and gracious God, slow to anger and abounding in faithful love and truth, 7 maintaining faithful love to a thousand generations, forgiving iniquity, rebellion, and sin. But he will not leave the guilty unpunished, bringing the consequences of the fathers' iniquity on the children and grandchildren to the third and fourth generation.
Statistics show that children often reflect the environment they were brought up. Whether that's divorce and they remarry, or if the parent was drinking and smoking too often or using illegal drugs. The children often repeat that same behavior. If this is continuing to pass on to the next generation the iniquities are harder to remove.
God tells us in Exodus that he is going to inspect the iniquities of the father. Knowing that, we have to make a point to let go of our father's past iniquities as well as our own. Doing that can set the future generations up to be closer and more aligned with God's will.
What are things that you notice in the areas of sin or brokenness that are present in your parents or grandparents that you've held on to?
What sort of things do want to pass on to your children that will leave a positive impression?

In closing we pray for the power of the cross to destroy any negative generational consequences.
