Kudos
@Operation for pausing to serve his M pre-Murph, yet still coming out to show the Gloom who's boss!
@Cosmo for a PR mile time – 9:35 BABY!!
@Tiny Dancer for pushing himself toward his goal of 6:45 mile time. He worked hard, yet came in at 6:54. Solid effort brother! As you said, there is no failure, only learning. Excited for you to hit this goal soon!
@Hot Mic for showing up to his first F3 workout purely from seeing our info posted somewhere in connection with his CrossFit gym (CF giving F3 some love)
@Dipstick for answering @Sully 's EH and getting after it on a wet and breezy morning

Announcements:
@Tiny Dancer on Q at Fort Pain this week
@Joey Freshwater on Q at Armory this week. He told me he's gonna make TD's Q look like 4th grade girls PE class
Pancreas is recanting his offer for guest Q's to lead quasi-Murph variants in December. All this talk about goals has got me thinking we should keep pushing for PR's, be that in mile times, Cindy, or overall Murph times.

Prayers:
@Cosmo 's Dad/friend Jim – healing for his GI issues
@Rudolph – surgery this Friday
@Hot Mic – son Theoron serving in the Army National Guard. Currently injured and concerned about graduation. Pray for healing and graduation
@Operation – M's headache and Operation managing the kiddos today
@Tiny Dancer – Praise that school is back in session for his 2.0's

Matthew 14:22-23 “Immediately Jesus made the disciples get into the boat and go on ahead of him to the other side, while he dismissed the crowd. After he had dismissed them, he went up on a mountainside by himself to pray. Later that night he was there alone…”
This took place right after Jesus and the Disciples fed the 5000 and right before Jesus walked on water. My Bible study notes tell me that the word “made” suggested an urgency in the situation because the crowd wanted to make him King – by force. So Jesus sensed the urgency and wanted to get the Disciples out of there. We can imagine it was a pretty chaotic situation. Next thing, we see that Jesus had retreated to be alone and pray.

Men, this is SO important – and we can't afford to miss this example from our Lord. As busy, chaotic, distracting, and challenging as our lives can be, intentionally creating solitary time with the Lord to pray is crucial. If Jesus did it, we're fooling ourselves if we think we can live purposeful lives for God without it. And with F3 likely being the first thing we do each morning, we need to be careful that we don't let F3 become our primary spiritual connection for the day (not negating how much F3 means to us all – it's just not a substitute for 1:1 relationship with the Lord). Before or after F3, at lunch, in the evening – whatever time is best – we must be intentional about this time so that we constantly keep focus on God as the true Lord of our lives – nothing else.
We got stronger together this morning. I'm grateful for that. Love you, brothers! SYITG – Pancreas
