Props to @Sully for conquering Bertha without an appendix for the first time!

COT:

@Timeshare’s friend had some positive results from some of his cancer screenings this week but still faces a long road of treatment ahead.
@Sully struggles with a high-maintenance family member and fitting in the time to help with high demand of favors/projects requested.  Prayers for patience and peace and grace for all involved.
Moleskin:
Be a beacon of light for those in your sphere of influence.  The passage of scripture below contains Jesus’ words to a large group of his disciples.  One point in particular I want to highlight is this:  “You are the light of the world.  A city set on a hill cannot be hidden”
To me this invokes the image of a weary traveler trying to find refuge for the evening while on his journey.  In Jesus’ day there would have been many dangers and worries to traveling on foot at night.  A traveler seeing the light of a city on a hilltop would be a relieving and comforting sight.
How can we be that comforting presence in the lives of those around us?  How can we love and serve someone today and reflect the light of Jesus? Are we a visible presence of light, or would a weary traveling soul passing by not see the place of refuge that can be found in Jesus and his people?

““You are the light of the world. A city set on a hill cannot be hidden. Nor do people light a lamp and put it under a basket, but on a stand, and it gives light to all in the house. In the same way, let your light shine before others, so that they may see your good works and give glory to your Father who is in heaven.”
‭‭Matthew‬ ‭5:14-16‬ ‭ESV‬‬
