15 PAX came out this beautiful morning for a great run and fellowship. @Procter, @MapQuest, @FNG Hammam, @tic tac, @Oscar Mayer, @Dead Leg, @Fertile Myrtle, @Chowdah – Community Outreach, @J Fresh, @Snooki, @Peewee (TRAPP), @Thin Mint, @Commodore, @Clipart and YHC @Timeshare
What started out as a run on our standard route from Commonwealth onto Duplex was changed and audible called when one of the PAX (wish I could remember who) reminded us that our Brother @Hot Mic Tribute was kicking off the new AO Tribute and we should pay them a visit. This was met with great enthusiasm from the group and off we went. It really seemed like spirits were high this morning. It was great to hear all the mumble chatter as we ran together. There was a good bit of talk about capturing the flags down at Harvey, but we weren’t sure if that would go over well. Kind of wishing we did now. Loved seeing @J Fresh and @Chowdah – Community Outreach bouncing back from some illnesses and getting out there. The usual suspects, @Peewee (TRAPP), @Procter and @tic tac led the charge. Huge props to @Commodore for beating his mile time. I enjoyed the discussion on how when running as a group, everyone is accelerated. The leaders hear the footsteps behind them and push harder, the ones behind the leaders try their best to keep pace….and the group gets better for it. From Longview we ran to Harvey, gave shout outs to our Brothers down there, did a few laps and headed back for COT.
