Workout – Simple run down Commonwealth to Duplex.  Left on Duplex and note that around Buckner would be the 2.5 mile point.  PAX were asked to keep an eye on time and do their best to make the turnaround in time to be back for COT by 6:15.  @Three’s Company must have left something down at WellsSpring so decided to head there with @Peewee (TRAPP) keeping him company and going the extra distance.

The world we live in and the values that used to be held dear have certainly changed.  Not for all, but I think it's fair we can say we're all witnessing a change in society.  TV shows that once showed the Father as protector, hard worker and informed advice giver now give way to aloof Dads accepting their position as an unimportant influence within the family dynamic.  We're being told that its our children's decision on who they want to be and what they are and are not going to do.  We see more and more children without Fathers and jails that are becoming centers for fatherless men.  I want to remind all of you, that your role as Husband and Father is such a special gift.  I asked everyone to give some time this week to think about just how important you are within your own families.  I wish I had certain difficult talks with my Father growing up.  It's just not something he did, but perhaps I needed.  Maybe a bad decision here, or peer pressure there could have been altered as I was growing.  I place no blame except on myself in those moments of failure though.  We all have free will.  I can't change those things, but I can be truly remorseful and sorry.  I can keep getting better every day.  More importantly, we have the great opportunity to be sure we do not repeat that with our own children.  Don't shy away from those difficult talks about morality, taking the tough road at times, doing the right thing.  In our children's eyes, we are what represents a Man in today's world.  What do you want them to see?  When our children see us doing the right thing, praying, speaking about God with them, caring for our Ms, and having open real conversations with them; they will emulate these behaviors and grow into wonderful positive contributing adults.
Thank you all for coming out today.  SYITG
