Briefing:
Today we do this BEATDOWN in honor of…My Dad, Cornelius Andres born 2/22/1943, passed way after losing a battle with COVID 9/19/2021Mosey.My dad was a quiet man but was never afraid of hard work often times giving extra hours that required him putting his head down and gritting through long hours. I never heard him complain or have a bad word to say about someone else.
The Thang:

 5 Rounds for time:
  • Approximately 389 Meter Run
  • 50 Meter Bear Crawl
  • 26 Single count Iron Mikes
  • 26 Toe to Rig. (Lay on back on the ground where you can grab a post or something that will allow you to pull. Raise feet off the ground until toes touch the post just above your head the feet move back to the ground.)
  • 26 Burpees

Total distance = the year he was born 1943. The bear crawl was simply to have a bear crawl transition and 3 exercise of 26 reps each equal his age when he passed away, 78.I don’t know if @Night Light was just honoring my dad this morning by not saying anything but it was the first time I did not hear him shout out, “Too Easy Q!”

In the 36 minutes we had, I believe 4 PAX were able to finish, kudos to them, I may need to check their form:blush:

Mole Skin:
Interestingly enough the verses I shared today were the same as last time but a different perspective.
Pastor John Mark Comes was a guest speaker at Church of the City Franklin on Sunday
Mark 12:28-3428 Now one of the experts in the law came and heard them debating. When he saw that Jesus answered them well, he asked him, “Which commandment is the most important of all?” 29 Jesus answered, “The most important is: ‘Listen, Israel, the Lord our God, the Lord is one30 Love[dthe Lord your God with all your heart, with all your soul, with all your mind, and with all your strength.’ 31 The second is: ‘Love your neighbor as yourself.’ There is no other commandment greater than these.” 32 The expert in the law said to him, “That is true, Teacher; you are right to say that he is one, and there is no one else besides him33 And to love him with all your heart, with all your mind, and with all your strength and to love your neighbor as yourself is more important than all burnt offerings and sacrifices.” 34 When Jesus saw that he had answered thoughtfully, he said to him, “You are not far from the kingdom of God.” Then no one dared any longer to question him.
Who is your Neighbor? Who should you consider your neighbor? Who was a neighbor in the story of the good Samaritan? Our neighbor should be the person across from us in this circle but it should also be the person that is on the corner needed or asking for help. Do we get so busy in our life that we don’t see the opportunities around us to serve others.
Corrie Ten Boom Quote: “If the Devil can’t make you sin he’ll make you busy.
Quote: Kosuke Koyama
God walks slowly because he is Love. If he is not love he would have gone much faster. Love has a its speed. It is an inner speed. It is a spiritual speed. It is a different kind of speed from the technological speed to which we are accustomed. It is slow, yet it is lord over all other speed since it is the speed of Love.
Jesus moved with purpose but always had time for those that needed a touch. Restoring sight. Healing the lame. Making time for the crowds. In fact he moved slow enough that even when a woman that was bleeding could only touch his garment he noticed. He made others more important than himself; ALWAYS.
When someone comes to you and asks for your help and you respond with I am too busy, you are really saying “You are not important enough for me right now to spend time with.” When you say that to your children, what is that teaching them?
The one thing that my dad always did well, he never moved so fast that he would not take time to help or serve someone else weather he was getting paid and the job was taking much longer than what he was getting paid for or he was just doing something because there was a need and he was willing to serve.
He lived Jesus words in that he saw everyone as his neighbor. He touched and impacted hundreds of lives, hundreds of people given the opportunity will show up at my dads service.
It is interesting that my dad felt a service was not needed.  As always, flying under the radar, quietly not needing to be noticed. But to pass up on an opportunity for my dad to one last time have an opportunity for his life to serve others and live beyond himself and speak loudly as to why he did what he did was one we felt should not be passed up. Why, simply because God loves them, died for them and wants a relationship with them. That there is life beyond this world and how you live here, or maybe better stated, who you live here for matters.
I love you Dad and you will be missed in so many ways but knowing your healing is complete and that you are with Jesus is pretty hard to pass up. See you soon!
Close in prayer.
Thank you to all PAX for honoring me and my dad so amazingly well this morning. Words cannot express how much I appreciate your prayers and your support. It is truly an honor to know you men, workout with you and serve with you. Lets spread the word, all men need this in their lives.
Hot Mic Out!
