Announcements:
The following announcements will be coming out in our newsletter, but please start pushing these at our workouts each morning.
Convergence is coming up in Franklin on Saturday, 9/25.  This is an awesome event, and we need to plan on having a big showing!  We had 55 PAX from SH, Franklin, and Nolensville when we hosted Convergence in the spring, so it’s time to return the favor.  Anyone that has been to either of the last 2 will tell you it’s worth the trip.  This one will be in Franklin, and is a 6am -7:30 beat down at Pinkerton Park, followed by coffeteria…Wilson is going all in….rumor is he’s making pancakes.
Gauntlet has been set for Oct. 30th.  This is Nolensville’s CSAUP (like Crucible), and is always a lot of fun.
TN Tussle teams are forming up!  I will be hosting training sessions soon to start going through the actual course, so if you’re interested in competing let me know.  Here are 2 things to remember about the Tussle:
This is not an “elite only” event.  This is for  anyone/everyone that is interested.  We joke about it being a competition, but this is really for anyone that wants to run the course and see how well they do.  Don’t think you’re not good enough or fast enough!  Put a team together and see what you can do, then use it as a bench mark for next year’s event!
We need volunteers to help put the even on!  If want to be involved, but don’t want to run the course, let me know and I’ll get you some info.
Grey Ghost 5K has reached out to F3SH asking for us to help put on the event.  They are wanting us to provide 25 volunteers for race day!  This means they are relying on us to run a large portion of the event, so it’s important that we all show up.  F3 exists for the invigoration of male leadership in the community through fitness groups, so I think helping put on a community fitness event is right up our ally!  Check with @Hot Mic (Tribute) for details.  Up to 25 volunteers needed!
2nd annual 24-hour marathon  coming up.  Keep an eye on slack for updates from @Kwame’s Evil Twin
Prayer requests:-safe travels – @Kwame’s Evil Twin and @Cross-Stitch  Chicago road trip
-Gala for @2Buck’s wife’s charity – mission of fighting human trafficking. Check slack for more details from @2Buck
@Night Light taking charge of his battalion.  Prayers this leads to a promotion soon.  Way to lead!
-prayers for Becca (friend of @Reverb) – more details to be posted on slack

Reasons to consider serving/volunteering in F3 community service opportunities coming up
  1. Others have needs.  You can’t take care of every need, but you can make a meaningful impact in someone’s life, whether indirectly or directly.
  2. If you’re a believer in Jesus, you were born again for this purpose (among others)!
“For by grace you have been saved through faith. And this is not your own doing; it is the gift of God, not a result of works, so that no one may boast. For we are his workmanship, created in Christ Jesus for good works, which God prepared beforehand, that we should walk in them.”
Ephesians‬ ‭2:8-10‬ ‭ESV‬‬
  1. Men in our community need F3.  But they have to find us to join us.  Any service opportunity we participate in is an opportunity for exposure in the community that can lead to changed lives.
  2. Serving/volunteering sets a great example of an active faith for your 2.0s
  3. Serving changes you.  If you’re stuck in a rut and are struggling to find meaning or motivation in the day-to-day grind….serve someone else and see if it changes your outlook.  Jesus was on to something when he said “It is more blessed to give than to receive.”
@Peewee (TRAPP) out!
