As we gathered to start warm up, @Joey Freshwater positioned himself in the light to show off the golden eagle necklace bling (I can see why @Cosmo thought of R. Kelly) to reference his still-questionable and highly-debatable but extremely-funny near-death early-morning eagle encounter during the 24M.
We did typical warm up exercises but the highlight was the Merkins, which came with a “clink” sound effect every time Joey’s eagle touched the pavement. The laughs and mumblechatter were on a roll from the start.

Moleskin:
I encourage all of us (including) myself to remember that when we are being tested in any area (love, patience, strength, etc.) that God is actually answering our prayers to grow in those areas. May we all recognize, embrace, and be grateful for those opportunities.
“Consider it pure joy, my brothers and sisters, whenever you face trials of many kinds, because you know that the testing of your faith produces perseverance. Let perseverance finish its work so that you may be mature and complete, not lacking anything.” James 1:2-4
“But he said to me, “My grace is sufficient for you, for my power is made perfect in weakness.” Therefore I will boast all the more gladly about my weaknesses, so that Christ’s power may rest on me. That is why, for Christ’s sake, I delight in weaknesses, in insults, in hardships, in persecutions, in difficulties. For when I am weak, then I am strong.” 2 Corinthians 12:9-10
Similarly, these song verses on Sunday spoke to me:
'Cause I prayed for strength
And I got pain that made me strong
I prayed for courage
And got fear to overcome
When I prayed for faith
My empty heart brought me to my knees
I don't always get what I want
I get what I need
