The Armory – 8/28/2021

Seventeen HIMs rolled out of bed this beautiful Saturday morning to get better and enjoy each others company. We welcomed FNG Sponge Bath with @Fertile Myrtle @Snooki @Ron Swanson @Bogo @Danica @Paperboy @Corncob @FICO @PrimeTime Kwame @MapQuest @Jalisco @Hot Mic Tribute @Soul Glo @Lone Star @Peewee (TRAPP) and YHC @Timeshare
Props to @PrimeTime Kwame for showing up with 10 miles already on his shoes for the day. That’s getting it!

Thang 1 – Pain Stations
The track was broken into eight stations and we split into 3 groups and started at different points of the track
Stations included and exercise with a different mode of transportation with the exception of the burpee run. We went around for approx 20 mins

20 big boy sit ups politician to next station
15 burpees mosey to next station
bear crawl to next station
20 merkins sprint to next station
20 lbcs politician to next station
20 2 count flutter kicks mosey to next station
bear crawl to next station
Thang 2 – Box Of Pain
Pax teamed up in groups of 2. Group 1 stayed doing Al Gores while their teammates ran 50 yards down, reached into the box of pain and pulled one of the few hundred different exercises that were in the Box of Pain. They ran back 50 yards and did their exercises while group one went off to get theirs. Rinse and repeat for about 15-20 minutes. At one point @Lone Star thought the box was too close so gave it a good push and @Bogo thought to the same on his next run. The 100 yard relay turned into more of a 130.
Thang 3 – Dice Of Pain
PAX circled up again and started tossing the dice of pain. One die had multiple exercises and one had the set needed to execute.
We rolled dice for about 10 minutes and moved on
Thang 4 – 11s
Start with 10 JLos – lunge walk – 1 squat – broad jump {deduct one from one side, add one to other keeping 11 count}
Pepper eating contest in a couple weekends – check slack

Continued with my weeks theme of purposely, meaningfully, thoughtfully trying to make peoples day better. So much conflict out there. Afghanistan, fighting at sporting events, politics dividing us, COVID putting everyone on edge. We need to treat our brothers and sisters better as human beings. When you come across folks this weekend, give a smile, ask them how their day is, wish them a good weekend. It becomes infectious. Take joy in making others happy.
Galatians 6:9-10 – And let us not grow weary of doing good, for in due season we will reap, if we do not give up. So then, as we have an opportunity, let us do good to everyone, and especially to those who are of the household of faith.
