STRESS:
“Let us not become weary in doing good, for at the proper time we will reap a harvest if we do not give up.”
Galatians 6:9
We all deal with stress in our lives.
Too much stress- especially stress that is not relieved by times of rest and renewal, can harm us physically, mentally and spiritually.
To a great extent, we Christians get caught up in the same rat-race as everyone else. We have let our values become distorted and don’t see life clearly from God’s perspective. We’ve lost some of our distinctiveness; our lives are almost identical to those of people who are not committed to Christ. As a result, we are violating very basic laws that God has set down for our bodies. We need to take a step back and realize that the stresses of this world are not worth our physical, mental, and spiritual health. We as Christian men need to lean on each other, when the stresses of the world, are on us to give each other strength. That is why I am so thankful to have this group.
Thank you for giving me the opportunity to lead this evening
