Belding (F3 Florence, SC) shared an encouraging story that he recently witnessed in his F3 group, about a member of the PAX breaking down in tears about how F3 saved his life.  He encouraged us to keep doing what we are doing.
Moleskin:
“Healthy Relational Life” borrowed from a bible study my M is going through:
Modeling our relationships after Jesus.  Jesus had 5 levels of relationships:
The World: “Witness” John 3:16
The 72:  “Service” Luke 10:1-2
The 12: “Discipleship” Matthew 20:17
The 3 (Peter, James and John): “Transparency” Matthew 26: 36-38
The 1 (God the Father): “Intimacy” Matthew 26: 38-39
In looking through that I saw a lot of parallels with F3.  I wanted to focus on shield lock groups (since we have been focusing on those lately), and draw a comparison to how Jesus interacted with his 3 closest disciples – Peter, James and John.
Matthew 26: 38:  Then he said to them, “My soul is very sorrowful, even to death; remain here, and watch with me.”
Even Jesus needed a smaller group of people he trusted to be completely transparent with and let them know his heart.  Make sure you have a few people that you can share things with and be completely transparent.  If you are not in a shield lock group, or want to hear more about what it is, see me, @Pancreas or any of the other F3 leaders for more information.
Gents, thanks for letting me lead this morning – and have a great week!
