PAX: @Rudolph @Pancreas @Hot Mic FNG Colton(Chalk Dust), FNG Tyler Estes(Skid Mark), FNG Tyler Mundy(Thin Mint), FNG Nathan Mundy(Etch-a-Sketch), FNG Alex Mundy(Earhart), FNG Dan Fox(Bed Pan). Bed Pan is a great story. He was walking through the parking lot about 8:23 doing his own thing and he happened to walk just a little to close(6' rule) to those of us already circling up. We engaged him in conversation then proceeded to EH him into our hour of pain.
@Rudoloph then handed off the Q to @Hot Mic for Thang #1:
We headed to the catch basin at the bottom of the parking lot for a series of 11's. Start in the basin at the bottom of the hill with 1 burpee then politician up the hill. At the top do 10 reps of four count flutter kick and four coumt scissors to equal one rep, and then bear crawl down the hill back to the bottom to finish one round. Rinse and repeat the process increasing the burpees each round and decreasing the flutter/scissor kicks until you had completed 10 rounds. This ended up being pretty brutal and 17-18 minutes in had to call time. It was a beautiful introduction to F3 for all the FNG's thinking this was going to be a cake walk. It very quickly had them asking , what the….. FNG Chalk Dust told me later he almost went home when the exercise was introduced. This of course made my heart very happy as he is also my daughter boyfriend.
Walking recover back to the parking lot where everything began for water which was desperately needed on several levels. @Hot Mic then introduce the 4 Corners of the parking lot. This had a few questioning how this was easier than Thang #1. Believe me it was. Corner 1, 20 Merkins then duck walk to corner 2. Corner 2, 20 air squats the HIM skips to corner 3. I'm not sure about others but my skips were not nearly as high and clean at the end as when I started. All the core work and quad work was starting to take a toll. Corner 3, 20 big boys and then Monster walk (backward duck walk) to corner 4. Corner 4, 20 Carolina Dry Docks then mosey back to corner 1.
While the plan was to run this 2x we decided to call it and move back to where we would converge for our COT. There were many sighs of relief at this point and the FNG's where very happy the beatdown was over. This euphoria was quickly quashed when @Rudolph turned around and let everyone know we weren't done yet. How could we be, we still have 7 minutes of time? Of course we're not done yet. All you FNG's today are being introduced to big boy pants, it's time to put them on.
@Rudolph took the Q back at this point and led us through a series of spiderman merkins, LBC's, alternating superman and bananas and several other that my mind is not remembering right now that took us to 9:15.
@Pancreas shared more about our Open House week. This was great because Dan had literally just said a minute earlier that if we ever do this again we need to let him know. AND now we have his information!
@Rudolph closed us out sharing a Moleskin
Jesus at a well with a Samaritan woman
Asks her for a drink
She is surprised because Jew/Samaritan
“If you knew who I was, you would have asked me for a drink and I would have given you living water.”
“Jesus answered, “Everyone who drinks this water will be thirsty again, but whoever drinks the water I give them will never thirst. Indeed, the water I give them will become in them a spring of water welling up to eternal life.” The woman said to him, “Sir, give me this water so that I won't get thirsty and have to keep coming here to draw water.
At F3 we ask that you believe in something higher than yourself. This woman tried living her life without doing that, and finally saw the impact of a different way.
We then took a knee and he prayed us out.
What I think was amazing considering the brutal beatdown we all suffered, everyone gave their contact info to @Rudolph and no one was disappointed that they showed up. There will however be some very sore bodies tomorrow.
Hot Mic Out!
