Black Ops – 11.1.21

PAX: @Blackout @Offsides
Conditions: chilly

Warmup: Walk to the end of the Dunkin’ Donuts parking lot.

Thang: Ruck 3.7 miles with a min 20# in prep for our Star Course this weekend. Pontificate wildly and, as a result, solve most of the problems facing our world.

Moleskin:
“And let us run with perseverance the race marked out for us, fixing our eyes on Jesus, the pioneer and perfecter of faith. For the joy set before him he endured the cross, scorning its shame, and sat down at the right hand of the throne of God. Consider him who endured such opposition from sinners, so that you will not grow weary and lose heart.”
– Hebrews 12:1-3Not having done many endurance events, the idea of going 26.219 miles (minimum) is a bit daunting. However, reflecting on this passage and all that Jesus endured physically puts things back in perspective. How easy it is to rush past this sacrifice to get to the freedom and grace we now enjoy as a result of the price He paid. So, as we accumulate the miles and fatigue sets in, I pray this verse will serve as a reminder to press on, fixing our eyes on Jesus.
