  • See picture below for the syllabus from Professor Paincreas
  • Essentially, we did the FitTest competition course from 2019, with less running
The PAX crushed it and it was great to see each HIM pushing individually, plus the group effort and encouragement.
Every HIM worked hard, but also some T-Claps to:
@Rudolph for breaking the sound barrier
@Veronica and @Cross-Stitch were also fast
@Chowdah – Community Outreach showed @Winger the partner carry
@Winger posted at Battalion for the first time
@Thin Mint (aka “The Silencer”) and his quiet determination to accelerate
@Three’s Company getting some Tussle training under his belt
@Snooki and @Timeshare were accelerating, despite still shaking out the Bourbon Chase
@Soul Glo for pushing through the pain to finish the Crawl Bear
@Three’s Company @Cross-Stitch for supporting @Soul Glo
@Lone Star for coming out to support and encourage the PAX despite foot pain keeping him from exercising

I recently avoided an accident on the interstate as I was texting while driving. Praise God that He protected me and the others on the road. This was one of many close calls I have had over the years, and it has been an ongoing issue in my life for years. I’ve been aware of it, but I still push the limits because I’ve been able to get away with it so far. However, this recent incident has renewed my conviction to get serious about making a change before disaster happens.
I’m able to get away with it – until the one time that I won’t – and there could be horrible consequences. I might get in an accident and damage my car and others. Worse, I might hurt or kill others and/or myself. But how is this similar to other areas of my life where there is an issue that I don’t address because I think I can control it? What is going on in my heart and what is my motive?I say things to myself like:
  • “I can handle this.”
  • “I won’t hurt anyone.”
  • “This rule/law doesn’t apply to me.”
  • “I can get away with it.”
  • “That won’t happen to me.”
  • “I know better than God.”
  • “I’m immune/special/invincible.”
The Bible says:
  • “Pride goes before destruction, a haughty spirit before a fall.” Proverbs 16:18
  • “Before a downfall the heart is haughty, but humility comes before honor.” Proverbs 18:12
  • “God opposes the proud, but gives grace to the humble.” 1 Peter 5:5
I have employed pride in my life and marriage before, and this haughty spirit (pride) caused disaster. I encourage all of the PAX to consider areas in their life – whether texting and driving, navigating relationships, doing taxes, lusting after porn, etc. – where pride may be getting the better of you, and take action before disastrous consequences occur.
It was an honor to lead you men this morning. I love you guys. SYITG, Pancreas
